ON Sundays, The Friends of The Woodlawn Cemetery give tours of the grounds. Tours are approximately two hours long and 1.5 miles in length. Tours begin at 2 p.m., unless otherwise noted.  Check the schedule for the entry gate where the tour begins. Admission to Author's Talks, the Biographers Group and the Holiday Concert is free. Tour tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Seniors (65 and up) and $5 for Students, and is free for children six and under. Members of The Friends of the Woodlawn Cemetery and the National Trust for Historic Preservation are admitted at no charge.   Reservations for all programs are recommended.  For additional information, call the Friends office at (718) 920-1470 or email a note to friends@thewoodlawncemetery.org

The Friends of Woodlawn have launched a project to create a database to document the histories of the individuals memorialized at The Woodlawn Cemetery.  Genealogists can contribute biographies on their family members - historians can add those they are studying. Comes to Woodlawn

Author Neil Gould shares his new biography Victor Herbert – A Theatrical Life and leads a tour to the sites of Herbert’s contemporaries

and favorite haunts.  Oscar Hammerstein, Reginald DeKoven, August Luchow and the luminaries of “Light Opera.”
